The Income Assistance Director is in charge of delivering social assistance to eligible clients on the Nekaneet First Nation. The purpose of Income Assistance program is to help those in need of financial assistance by ensuring that basic living needs of all

The department also assists recipients to educate themselves through education and training programs to eventually find employment, therefore being able to support themselves and eventually be discontinues from social assistance.
